Books

Reading and writing are my passion. My first book was published in 2019. In 2023, my first author held his book in his hands.

I've worked with authors who came to me with 70,000 words

ready to edit, authors with just a folder full of notes, and everywhere in between.

Let me help write your story.

I offer package prices to help give you options and a better understanding of the details, the process and the price.

Testimonials from Past Clients

Author: Debbie Johnson

"Two Brothers & Their Cousin"

"Jona’s help in navigating the publishing process was invaluable. She had great suggestions along the way and gave me the encouragement I needed when it seemed like things were moving slowly. It was exciting to hold the book in my hands for the first time, but the real moment of joy was when my grandsons held the book in their hands. Thank you for helping me create this beautiful family heirloom!"

"Kismet"

I wrote a list out almost 4 years ago…things that I needed and things I wanted in the face of a brain cancer diagnosis. Needs were a will, power of attorney, etc.

I wanted to write a book, to share my journey, and Jona was at the top of my list and mind. I wanted her to be my Editor and find me a ghostwriter. I never dreamed she'd inspire me to be a writer myself or see my book published and available on Amazon someday.

"Brave Girl: A Story On The Wind"

"Our book would not have been published without Jona’s help. It was really helpful to be able to meet with a person consistently, who knew us and our project but also brought the professional skills and industry knowledge to see us through the publishing process. Jona is one of a kind."

"Grapevine"

"Working with Jona was a fantastic experience. She provided invaluable guidance through the publishing process, and her detailed next steps kept us on track to finish. She began editing as we wrote, asked thoughtful questions to clarify confusing sections, and encouraged us to make the work truly ours. Her support extended beyond editing, even helping with our launch event, which would have been overwhelming without her expertise. We highly recommend her services!"

"Surrogacy"

As an experienced gestational surrogate and having spent 12 years running an in-home daycare, I realized there was a lack of resources for the children of surrogates—resources that could help them understand the unique journey their mom was embarking on. I wanted to create something that would show children that there are many different ways to grow a family, that every family is unique, and most importantly, that every family is beautiful in its own way.

I envisioned a book that surrogates could read with their child(ren) to help them understand the surrogacy process in a kid-friendly way. This book would help them know they aren’t being “replaced” by the surro baby and would offer insights into what their mom might be experiencing, so they could feel more comfortable, less anxious, and fully embrace the experience.

But turning this vision into reality wasn’t easy. When I set out to write the book, I wasn’t sure where to begin. Fortunately, I was referred to Jona, an incredible editor, and I took a leap of faith to work with her in early 2024. Jona was a true guiding light—she gave me clear tasks and deadlines, which kept me on track as I worked on finding the perfect illustrator.

Once the book was complete, we sent it to our first publishing company, but the proof didn’t meet any of our expectations for the size of the book. Undeterred, we tried a different publisher. There were plenty of hurdles along the way, including endless adjustments and challenges. However, Jona was relentless in ensuring we achieved my exact vision. She spent countless hours on calls and chats with the publishing company, advocating for the quality and presentation I wanted.

While there were some ups and downs in the publishing process, we pushed through and came out with the most perfect book, exactly as I had envisioned. I couldn’t be more proud of the final result, and I’m so grateful for the amazing teamwork between my editor, illustrator, and myself.

If you’re looking for an editor who will walk alongside you, offer guidance, and hold you accountable as you work towards creating your perfect book, I HIGHLY recommend Jona. She has been instrumental in bringing this project to life, and I couldn’t have done it without her!
